Explorer Scouts
Explorer Scouts are young people, usually aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family. Not all the Units in our County meet each week, because they can be out and about at weekends or during the holidays doing other activities.
You can enjoy Camping, Hiking, Canoeing among other things
Come and join us at any of the sites across the County
Amongst activities organised by our three Units, we have recently had a trip to Dublin, walking in the Black Mountains, a pig roast and a Christmas party.
We have a wide selection of events arranged through this year that include skiing; a trip to London; various hikes, and also some fantastic camping planned. As an Explorer Scout, there is the chance to work with other Explorer Scouts in the County, not just your own Unit. By doing this, there is the chance to do many more activities, not just the ones your Unit organises.
There will be times when many of these members will be busy doing other things such as exams, so being an Explorer Scout has to fit around these.
